Handler's stand-up career began when she was part of the all-female Oxygen television cast on the series with a hidden camera called Girls Behaving Unreasonably. From 2002 until 2005, the show aired. The handler then began appearing in several other shows like Weekends at the D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler began her professional career as a reporter on The Tonight Show. Handler became famous in 2006 hosting the show on E! It was titled The Chelsea Show. It lasted for two seasons. Handler was then seen in the United States as part of the Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend, HBO and Comedy Central have all aired her stand-up performances. In 2010 it was announced that she would be hosting at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. She was the only female host in history after Roseanne.
