Iliza Shlesinger
Iliza Vie Schlesinger was born on February 22, 1983. She is an American actor and comedian. She was the winner of 2008 on The NBC series Last Comic Standing. She was later the host of Separation Anxiety and the syndicated dating show Excused.
Shlesinger hosted Truth and Iliza (Freeform) in 2017 as her own late-night talk show. She has six Netflix comedy specials. The sketch comedy show The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show premiered on Netflix in April of 2020.
Iliza Vie Schlesinger was the daughter of a Jewish family. She was raised in Dallas, Texas, where her family moved when she was just a little girl. She went to the private Greenhill School in Addison, Texas where she took classes in Spanish and was a member of the school's improv group.
Shlesinger appeared on ComedySportz Dallas. She also attended the University of Kansas her freshman year. She also participated in Semester at Sea. She enrolled at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts where she earned a degree in film. She also honed editing and writing skills and became a member of one of the campus' comedy sketch groups Jimmy's Traveling All Stars.

After graduating from college, Shlesinger relocated to Los Angeles to pursue stand-up comedy. She was one of the most popular performers in the Whiteboy Comedy group of standup comedians in Los Angeles, which brought her to the stage of The Improv in Hollywood.
